Update – Friday 1st May01.05.2020
Since the start of lockdown we have followed Government advice and policy on the essential maintenance of our course.
Understandably , as the lockdown continued, impatience has grown about when we can resume. This week we received a four page document containing proposed operational guidance that may be adopted when Government COVID-19 restrictions permit the re-opening of golf clubs.
These guidelines have been produced in collaboration with a number of bodies within the industry: GCMA, BGIA, BIGGA, Foremost, The PGA, TGI and the UK Golf Federation and are supported by the Home Unions.
There may be local conditions that affect the recommendations, and the Management and General Committees will consider the opening guidelines for Cochrane Castle Golf Club to ensure a set-up that complies with Government policy and agreed guidelines.
When golf does reopen it needs to be in a responsible and safe way and it will be essential that members comply fully with the guidance that we issue.
Thanks for your understanding and continued support of your Club during these difficult times.
