The Club has
a healthy Junior section with a membership in excess of 60 at
present time with ages ranging from 12 through to 17.
Each month there is a Medal round to be contested through
out the year with additional weekly and mid week competitions through
the summer playing season.
Additionally within the area there
are a number of clubs which
hold junior open events throughout the summer giving the members
an ideal opportunity to test their skills over some of the county’s
finest and testing courses.
The Junior Section have their own
locker room accommodation and have restricted access to the lounge
area for refreshments.
During the Holiday periods the Professional
undertakes free coaching sessions which are available to all
Junior members.
The Club competes within the Paisley and District
Golf League contesting for the Newton Shield trophy. The Junior
team consist
of players competing against the 11 other clubs in the league.
The Club has also had many Junior members passing
through the Renfrewshire Golf Union Coaching Scheme who have
then gone on to represent the Club at County and National events.
